I expected
to dislike Mindless Self Indulgence, but saw them live and they were pretty ace.

And when Supernatural aired, I expected it to be dire. Five seasons in, and I'm pretty much hooked

I listened to
two songs before seeing them, and thought they were pretty meh. But when they performed they had serious energy and life and the frontman had great banter, so even though the music was a bit so-so, they made up for it.

That's a terrible name for a band. Surely it's some grunge throwback bullshit "updated" with a bit of gothy emo bullshit. From the name alone I can smell them from here.

Yeah
hard to categorise. They used to be fairly infamous for their live shows, drinking own urine/stripping fans/ full frontal nudity, but since their bassist married Gerard Way and had a baby they've toned it down
