I've got a few old hotmail/yahoo accounts lying around that I can't get into because I changed the password to something complicated and random and did the same to accounts the "retrieve forgotten password" link goes to until I hit an old obscure surfy.net account (set up in '98 when I got started on the internet) that I was able to make inaccessible very easily. My b3ta account 'lost' was frozen to me like this.
You can't just hack someone's email with name, location, D.O.B, CV information etc. I've tried to hack my own with no result, and I know far more about myself than any stranger does.
