Another shout here for FireflyAlso Buffy (first four seasons), Babylon 5 and Quantum Leap if you didn't see those first time around.
The US remake of The Office is brilliant, just skip the first season as they hadn't quite figured out what they were doing back then.
Takeshi's Castle and Kenny versus Spenny are brilliant if you want a laugh without engaging your brain.
