Happy with what you laid down?

I think so
It was only this weekend I discovered what a restless perfectionist our drummer is. Still, we got 13 songs down in the end (although 3 or 4 of those were alternate versions), so now we've just got to find a weekend where we can bear to sit down and hear them all again to mix them. (And when we've got the patience to try and make my voice sound listenable)

From experience it’s a very good idea indeed to leave it a few weeks before you listen to it again. In that time some objectivity will have come back to your ears – and you’re more likely to like what you did. I’ve erased perfectly decent stuff because of tiny flaws – or fucked around with it until it ends up worse than when you started, on several occasions.

This, I think, is sound advice
And indeed the same reason we took the raw tracks from all the takes we did, just in case we sat down with them three weeks later and realised that, actually, the second take was better than the third. At any rate I suspect I'll end up redoing a lot of the vocals in our drummer's flat.
