Ha
Jackson Sr1.

Although, I have since added to that collection. I now have the Les Paul I should have bought at the time, a Jem and a Music Man, plus a couple of cheap(ish) basses.

Sadly, I seem to spend more money on vintage keys now instead of guitars.

PS. I too was suprised at the anger directed over not having a bank account.

I'm not familiar with the jackson
not a fan of les pauls either really :-)

music man and the jem are good items though ;-)

You know you are a little out of step, not liking LPs.
Meh, chacun a son guitar.

Those
are my two favourites of them all to be honest.

In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the Jackson is a class above all the others - it just seems to play itself, the only thing I would change about it is the Floyd Rose unit - too fiddly and troublesome.

I
forgot to mention the ill advised Christmas present to myself the year before last.

A stinking Sitar. I thought, "How hard can it be? It's got strings..."

You'd have thought I would have learned that lesson after buying an electric violin the year before.

A sitar is all well and good
until you need to restring or tune it in my experience

I agree with the floyd rose comment too. my ibanez has one and it is a royal pain in the arse.

Sitar
You're not wrong there!

I can just about make it sound musical if enough beer has been had by my 'audience'.

...and Floyd Rose - all very clever until you need to change a string in the middle of a song.

I don't restring this one myself any more, I give it to the local music shop with 35 quid and it comes back like brand new every time.

So you're more of a collector than a player?

No
I am most certainly a player, just as I've gotten older I've realised that the right tool for the job helps.
I don't really play in a band any more - more recording at home these days, hence the keys and basses.
