When I was seven or eightI was double dog-dared to steal something from the local newsagents. I was scared shitless, but managed to swipe a little bouncy ball. It burnt a hole in the pocket of my shorts as I paid for my bag of penny sweets, and I ran all the way home.
Thankfully the shop's still there, otherwise I'd feel personally responsible for it closing down.
