Manage to get Mumra'd, or possibly vaguely Skeletored last night?
A WOO and a YAY for your friend as well; if he's doing Materials then he'll be in the Earth Sciences department for some reason I've never fathomed. Good luck to him, I hope his unofficial thingummy becomes official at some point.

I took it easy at first, as I didn't want to drink too much too quickly, saving it for the club (ridiculously cheap drinks anyway). By the time we got there one of us (not me, surprisingly) was in an awful state, so I only had one drink and we left.
Still got tipsy though, on GIN. You do anything interesting?
I'm really happy for him. He's not had a great time of it over the last...4 years, seems like things are looking up for him. Earth Sciences? Sounds dreadful. Apologies if Physics is secretly Earth Sciences...

I had a quiet one at home. A little concerned for my flatmate who, I presume, is still in St George's Hospital with something funny going on with his chest. I'm just wondering whether I ought to phone his girlfriend again and find out whether anything else has happened.
Earth Sciences is basically the Geology department, of which T, M and R are all former inhabitants...not to put him off. I also know a couple of people in the Ocean Modelling group that's been lumped in with them, though I don't know much about the Materials group, to be honest.

That must be scary...hope he gets better soon, and he's ok. Not sure if no news is good news, or if she's just caught up in the stress (I forget to update people on stuff the whole time.) Call if it'd put your mind at ease :)
Oh fuck. I'll tell him to reject the place. And run, very very VERY far away. I still don't know what Materials is, even if he is doing it. His degree is in Chemistry. Clever boy. Clever, lovely, beautiful, evil boy.

to fix a leaky valve in his heart. And recently he's been doing a lot of cycling, to and from work in particular. They were on their way out just as I got home last night and he said his heart was hurting. They were walking to the hospital (or at least to the bus stop) so it wasn't crippling at the time, and the doctors said they wanted to keep him in overnight for observation. I might give her a call in a bit.
Hahaha! No, he should be alright. I don't think the geologists and materialists have much to do with one another, and if nothing else the ocean modellers are generally a lot more sedate! Plus T and M came back from the Bottle Match bemoaning the lack of enthusiasm and passion in the "younger generations" of geologists. In any case, I'm sure he'll be perfectly safe!

I can imagine heart problems are incredibly painful too :( Is this the flatmate I've not met? Hope he has a speedy recovery.
He'll be fine, he's a big boy. Yeah, I mean, I barely have anything to do with Ancient Historians, and we're of the same discipline. Madtimes. I really hope I've not imagined this/he doesn't get the place after all. Though I imagine he still won't want to see me, and our paths won't cross as I think he'll be living in Baron's Court. Ah well- knowing he's in the same city will help

Well, if he does indeed get the place - Baron's Court? No need to be defeatist, I used to live round there and know roughly where the student houses are scattered. I'm sure I can assist you in stalking him.

Oh Crow. I don't need to stalk him. I think he'll be living in his sister's flat, so it's not student accom. But if you ever see a very tall, skinny, half-Chinese boy with stupid floppy hair, it'll probably be him.

Well, I'll keep an eye out, but, as you can probably imagine from Imperial's typical intake, a tall, skinny, half-Chinese lad with floppy hair isn't really narrowing it down...

I guess. He's gorgeous, use your bumder senses to sniff him out. Oh, and he's a bassist.
