Who puts the mental in to judgemental. I really can't be bothered to have anything to do with her.

I have found with family (having not spoken to my mother for 16 years) that if you don't like them it isn't worth the effort of trying to get along with them.

It isn't without complications at times
It's probable that my gf & I will be getting married next year.

I would like my dad to attend the wedding (we speak on the phone fairly regularly and get on pretty well) but I know he won't attend if my mother isn't invited and there is no fucking way she is coming.

Yep but I will just MTFU & deal with it (years of therapy have helped me learn how to do this). GF's family are ace though.
