you don't need a bottle opener
I have at least 3 methods of opening a bottle without one and without resorting to my teeth or smashing it.

I can do it with thick paper or card, or with a spatula.

Not very well with the spatula mind, I usually take the top of the bottle off, but if you have better coordination for that sort of thing it is really impressive.

Tap the bottle a couple of times on the bottom and then hit the edge of the bottle cap upwards with a metal spatula (bbq tools work well) and it will fly off about 20 feet in the air.

In fact, my favourite method is opening a bottle with another bottle.

You get a bit stuck when you are down to the last unopened one though.

Mine's on my keys, so it's almost always with me
And has proven invaluable when camping or parties. Last time I tried opening a bottle without one, I almost destroyed a table.
