I don't watch either Family Guyor the Simpsons. The few episodes I've seen seem to recycle very old jokes a lot

In the case of the Simpsonsif you've seen episodes from the first few series, the jokes are old because the programme is old. In the later series I will admit the wheels came off and they started covering old ground, as far as I can tell their logic was "Family Guy can re-use our jokes so we might as well do so too"
