My Year one teachergave me the best advice. Ever.
She told me the difference between 'there', 'their', and 'they're', by way of a pictorial explanation on the first page of my journal book.
I still have it somewhere, and remembering it has saved me from grammar-nazis all over the internet.

It's a constant source of mystery to me..... why any native speaker could get these mixed up.
I mean, it's not rocket science. You learn the difference when you're young, and remember when you grow up.
Why is it, then, that so many adults write like illiterate fools? For fuck's sake just take two minutes to learn the difference, it's not that hard.

Every bit as bad"grammar nazi's."
Mistaking "loose" for "lose".
"your" instead of "you're".
I see all three of these constantly.
