
Sometimes, just sometimes, old people say something worth listening to. Ok, so it's like picking the needle out of a whole haystack of mis-remembered war stories, but those gems should be celebrated.

I seem to have spent more time pruning my CV than actually adding new content to it. Some people say a CV should not be longer than a page, but mine's 3 pages. Personally, I believe that I should post a scissors with my job applications so that anyone who doesn't want to read all of it should cut out the bits they don't want, but unfortunately, the professional world does not work like that.
