Ouch!
A friend was once given a biopsy by a sleep-deprived junior doctor.
They needed a sample of his colon, so inserted the long bendy jaws-on-the-end thingy, located the suspect area and... he shot through the ceiling. Doctor had forgotten to administer any anaesthetic.
What was your ouchiest moment?

I think it all depends
On the configuration or your jaw, and on how much physical force they have to exert (chisel ffs!).
They had to make incisions into my gums on the bottom two to even reach the teeth as they were growing at 90 degrees to the other teeth from round the corner under the surface of the gum. Consequently mine were pretty painful for a couple of weeks. Sounds like you were a little luckier than me so well done for that.
