Ouch!A friend was once given a biopsy by a sleep-deprived junior doctor.
They needed a sample of his colon, so inserted the long bendy jaws-on-the-end thingy, located the suspect area and... he shot through the ceiling. Doctor had forgotten to administer any anaesthetic.

I have eczemaI went to see a different doctor because mine was on holiday and this one decided I had scabies. Didn't matter that I've had eczema since I was born. Didn't matter that I'd had no contact with anyone who has ever had it, in their entire lifetimes. It was itchy, therefore it must be scabies. I declined treatment.

First ones I saw had exactlythe opposite approach - Scabies wasn't even considered. I think there is a degree of potluck when seeing GPs about what they've seen before and are therefore likely to guess at.
