This is a question Ouch!

A friend was once given a biopsy by a sleep-deprived junior doctor.
They needed a sample of his colon, so inserted the long bendy jaws-on-the-end thingy, located the suspect area and... he shot through the ceiling. Doctor had forgotten to administer any anaesthetic.

What was your ouchiest moment?

I had an abcess on my tooth.
Oh dear Christ.

Neurofen Plus - upon which one could walk on bloodied stumps after a defooting - didn't even touch the sides.

When telling the story, my dad's mate, who has survived cancer three times, and had all the treatments, concured that there is no pain like extreme dental pain.

Codeine
Is better. Off of the internet though. I've gone through weeks of it recently. I will go to the dentist one day, but not until I've passed out and they call an ambulance. Cant. Get. Through. The. Door.

I worry about addiction, though.
It's a minor opiate.

... said the smoker.

if its off the internet
how are you sure it's not nodeine?

edit: nurofen plus also contains codeine...

Try Nurofen and Co-dydramol.
I've heard Dextropropoxyphene isn't available any more -- which is a shame.
I know what you mean about dental pain -- I was practically begging to have my tooth pulled out when I had a dental abscess.

Nurofen plus has never worked for me
It takes an absolute minimum of two hours to have any effect at all. It then lessens the pain by maybe 20% for half an hour, before fucking off again.
