This is a question Overheard secrets

When I was a barman, I stood by polishing a glass as a couple had a hushed argument two feet away about what they were going to do now she was pregnant. The bloke promised to leave his wife, but subsequent hushed arguments revealed that he did not. What have you overheard?

Germans love it when you mention the war.
I once made the mistake of calling someone a Nazi in Munich. Luckily, I was in a Irish pub, so my audience was mostly non-German.

My brother's German girlfriend
is fascinated by my collection of Third Reich memorabilia, she's never seen a swastika at home.

That's because she's under 60, I think.
I rather suspect most Germans who saw a lot of Swastikas in their youth would either be very happy if they never saw one again or would only be happy if everyone in Europe was wearing them and all the Jews were dead.
