Ever claimed you could speak a foreign language to impress friends, colleagues and/or get laid? Make a twat of yourself - and I couldn't possibly comment - saying you were the godson of the chairman of BP? Tell us how your porkies have caught up with you
(Thanks to augsav and Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic for the suggestions)

- well, okay, not fewer lies, but certainly better ones. And most importantly a hell of a lot more evidence of 'got out of control' rather than simply 'was a lie'. Consequences, people. Preferably hilarious ones. We can all start in on the puns in a day or so anyway.

I think this is the most on-topic post this week.
I agree with the OP. Most of the stories are about small lies that didn't get out of control at all.
Maybe it's just a question that not many people have relevant answers to.

that I've been subject to and got out of control, involve pregnancy and miscarriages and I can't think of a way to make them funny or appealing.
I could write something absurd and untrue of course, I suppose. For the meta lols.

Surely there aren't many people who've told a lie that has genuinely spiralled out of control?
