breaking news: the mayor doesn't do it alone
London is run by a whole organisation of civil servants who aren't going anywhere. Boris was very wise to put in a nice word for them, mere seconds after the election results were announced. If anything, they'll be happier under Boris than under Ken, simply because Boris knows his limitations, is more pragmatic and less ideological.

But then, I don't live in London any more (since 1999), and get to watch the fun from Dublin. 8)
