I *love* driving.
Totally adore it. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than zipping along twisty A-roads.

However, driving in London is like an endurance test. It really is akin to Chinese water torture. The privilege of driving was costing me over 2000 quid a year and so, with reluctance, I sold my beautiful Alfa Romeo.

I haven't missed it. On the whole, my experience of London public transport has been marvellous and I'm now reading a couple of novels a week on the bus.

In London, unless your job expressly requires it, you're a mug if you own a car.
