Oh, it's not that terrible.
The advanced case of it I got a few years ago was bad, but I know people who've been hit much harder with it. This go-round it's more an irritant than anything- I detected it in less than two weeks after the bite. Got a nice big blotch on my right thigh and started to get achy, but that was about it.

Now it's the meds that are making me feel ill- but I'd rather have that than the disease itself.
