Is why I was ranting about the iPlayer and lack of licence needed, when you do need one for a TV even if you don't watch the BBC.

The reason for "banning" the BBC channels would be then you specifically couldn't watch them unless you had a licence. I am aware it's not going to make a blind bit of difference but that's the whole point of pet peeves, bitching about things you cannot change.
