I've been guilty of this...Mainly because my PDA, whilst wonderful in almost every respect, is of such a size that it looks like I'm attempting to iron my face if I hold it in the traditional 'phone' manner.
More often, I keep the headset in my pocket, and use it as a proxy phone.
