This is a question Phobias

What gives you the heebie-jeebies?

It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

The War of the Worlds album.
Not really a phobia but it gave me the creeps when I was a kid and I've never grown out of it.

Yep, I agree
I was also shit scared of that album once. I know own it on vinyl, Ltd Edition with the poster and book. I listen to even scarier things now, lol!

They couldn't make an album like that again, it just had such a creepy athmosphere to it.

Dare anyone to play it in the dark with headphones on. Brrrrrr....

Oh yes.
Although now I think that album is a bloody masterpiece, when I was a kid it scared the shite out of me. You know how on a sunny but cloudy day the sun would intermittently disappear behind cloud? It did this while my dad was playing this album for me and I thought it was a sign that the martians were coming. That and the image of victorian people running from a tripod (panic in the streets) in the album art made me require fresh trousers.
Now I have the CD version but with only likkle artwork it is only half an experience. I am currently checking oxfam for a vinyl version.

God yes
Id forgotten about that; my mates folks had it and it scared the bejeesus out of me I always remember the picture oh the Red Weed taking over a pub. I was terrified for weeks; when I went for a walk with my fols I saw some blocks of flats and thought they were Martian cylinders. Have since listened to it and its bloody good.
