This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

Has anyone watched Storymakers?
Its on Cbeebies (i have two kids) by god! nothing else need be said, the most PC program in a stupidly PC world. Top Marks!

Yes, pretty much every night
and it's one of the least PC programmes on CBeebies. Especially compared to something like Ballymorey. Mind you, that's not saying much...

Anyway, my main reason for watching Story Makers is I fancy the arse off Shelley Wordsworth. (Seems I'm not the only one...)

US
I heard an ENGLISH kid's TV program refer to PE (Physical Education) as ... 'Gym Class'.

Which leads to a kid the other day calling sweets ... CANDY. Jesus!!!!

'Positive' Discrimination?
I can see where you're coming from MB. I think there is very little chance of there being a white member of the Wordsworth family appearing sometime soon...They just about tick the equality box with the library woman that turns the light off at the beginning. That's Auntie beeb for you.

That bloke who thinks he's Samuel L Jackson does crack me up though...

Storymakers
Yep Seen it, kids watch it.
Used to have Danny john jules (Cat from Red Dwarf) in it from time to time.

Took the kids to a memorabilia exhibition at the NEC and youngest spots Mr Danny having a sarnie.
Youngest was made up when he got the full imagine imagine a story treatment. Made his day.

Danny john jules top bloke
