This is a question Prejudice

"Are you prejudiced?" asks StapMyVitals. Have you been a victim of prejudice? Are you a columnist for a popular daily newspaper? Don't bang on about how you never judge people on first impressions - no-one will believe you.

if I recall correctly, the move towards increased cranial capacity was a result of being frugivorous, and having to retain mental maps of which trees were producing fruit at different times of year...

Meat-eating was a relative late-comer to hominid development, and even then was more or less limited to scavenging. Hunting is waaay down the line, and has generally - even in foraging societies - contributed less than 20% of the total calorific intake.

That said, whereas meat eating cannot be conclusively tied to brain power, snarfing down a massive steak is undeniably more manly and appealing than nibbling on a damp legume, so it possibly contributed to breeding somewhat.

At least I imagine this is where they're from, as they're apparently a part of a vegetarian diet.

I suppose people who call themselves vegetarians but who eat fish
are a little like people who call themselves christians but who support war -- both are missing a few key points there.
