Agree - you need to keep the receipt and keep tabs on where the bracelet is. You can always recycle it for the next gf.
2 years means nothing I'm afraid. Won't make a blind bit of difference when she gets the hump, with you or has it with someone else, and buggers off.

^ This.After you've given it to her, there's no taking it back. Mr Cynic up there seems to have a case of the Once-Bittens. My ex tried to take back the Macbook he gave me for Christmas when we broke up. That did not go down well.
