ambulance chasers
coming out of hospital, 32 staples in my stomach after emergency surgery, one of these cockwarblers grabbed me by the arm as soon as i set foot out of the door.
"have you had an accident that wasn't your fault? i represent arsehole injury lawyer scumbags..."
"listen, i've had surgery, not that it's any of your business. it wasn't due to an accident, it was nobody's fault, now if you'll excuse me, i just want to go home."
"if you have any complaints about the doctors or other medical staff we can claim damages for you"
"no, thank you."
"can i take your name and address, so that one of our staff can call you? you may change your mind."
"FUCK OFF."

as i crawled into my waiting taxi, i heard him mutter "there's no need for that attitude."
slimy, bottom-feeding fucking leech CUNTS

Where was that? Not the UK, surely?
If so, I'm stunned.

I don't know
there was a glut of them a few years ago. Dislodging brick sets to cause people to trip over. Until the daft twats were seen on CCTV doing it.

They sometimes set up a small marquee in Hull town centre canvassing passers by. I was hoping someone would trip over the guy ropes.

The Accident Group (I think they've gone bust now) were famous for it

It is a good business, though.
Loads of people go for it.

i know one bloke
who saw a bus crash. one of the passengers had opened the emergency door at the back, so he climbed in and waited for the police. he successfully sued for soft-tissue whiplash

You see? It's enterpreneurship like that that makes people successful and this country great.

Jesus
I've never once seen or heard of anything like that. I sincerely hope that that's because it's been stopped now, because that's fucking disgraceful.

they were stopped
but i've recently seen a handful of keyrings sitting on a covered bin outside casualty, with an accident claim company's details on them.

one of my dad's staff
got accosted in Huyton by one of them (think it was TAG before they went bust) and had similar dogged questions, eventually told him that unless there was someway he could sue himself, a trained DT teacher, for hitting his own thumb with his own hammer in his own home then he could eff-off

I'm guessing Arcadia supply the braindead clipboard folks to ambulance chasers as well as charities, think that company (and it's competitors) as well as the people who work for them who take delight in being promoted for earning comission (and barely earning any money for the charity they represent) could fit in this QOTW for me.

btw, Liverpool's most famous ambulance chaser is a member of the golf club i work at, bit of a prick surprisingly

hmm
i can probably guess who it is

They often sniffed around the hospitals in Birmingham
Until they were thrown off site, after numerous complaints. They got the message, though there are still signs up that state they are not allowed to canvass. If staff spot them, they are usually escorted off site by a big bloke called Errol wearing a uniform a couple of sizes too small
(, Wed 2 Jun 2010, 18:11, closed)
nice one Errol!

Have You Been Harassed By Slimy Lawyer?
Then call our Trauma Helpline now!
I'm sure you suffered mental anguish after his constant badgering, and are now too depressed to [insert hobby you'd like to take up here].
