I used to lovethe delights of the magic 192.
Never got it as far as Stockport mind. I did once drive to Stockport. I discovered that although there are plenty of road signs showing you the way from Manchester to Stockport, there are none the other way round. It's as if someone didn't want people form Stockport to be able to drive to Manchester easily.

Care to enlighten us Americans?This is kind of like the joke about the club where they all knew all of the jokes, so they assigned them numbers. Someone would shout out "38!" and the place would erupt into laughter. (Ultimately one man screamed out "117!" which brought the house down as they'd never heard that one before.)
