This is a question Public Transport Trauma

Completely Underwhelmed writes, "I was on a bus the other day when a man got on wearing shorts, over what looked like greeny grey leggings. Then the stench hit me. The 'leggings' were a mass of open wounds, crusted with greenish solidified pus that flaked off in bits as he moved."

What's the worst public transport experience you've ever had?

Its BACK!!
Thank god - I have done my entire weeks work - and its only Tuesday - Feet up, kick back and B3TA away

Anyone done anything productive that they would not of normally done wihile B3TA was down

Are there any clever economist who are willing to take a stab at how much Britains productivity increased for the two working days that B3TA was down?

Well, interestingly
The going down of b3ta coincided with me starting work again. It was strange, coming home and not being able to check this place. I cried a little bit.

uuummm......not so much so
I'm getting more work done since b3ta is back. Somehow I managed to get it all backwards.

Productivity is up
Lets see, got a Windows 2008 Server with Exchange 07 and Sharepoint 07, another Server 08 with ISA Server 06, reinstalled an XP workstation. Also did the grid references for all the Dutch and Belgian Postcodes, and got about 10% of France done, as well as getting the code done that works out the distance between the postcode entered and shops (ie, tell me the nearest branch to me, and how far to a branch that has product X). Also replaced a dodgy phone line and swapped a router to one that supported NAT properly. That's all been waiting for 5 weeks (servers), 4 weeks for the router/phone cable, 2 weeks (workstation), nearly 2 weeks (coding).

Also managed to squeeze in fixing 2 network points and 4 power sockets (someone elses cock up, but I only got asked to do it yesterday.

Yes, my productivity has soared.
