But a mate of mine had his car stereo stolen. They didn't take the cassete tape that was in the stereo, adding insult to robbery.

I had my room robbed when I was at Uni in '92. They took my CD player and about 150 CDs, but they left The Lemonheads "It's a Shame About Ray" Limited Edition CD Single with "Collectable Art Cards" behind. Face out on the bookshelf, with the cards spread out next to it.

I had a mate who lived in a really rough part of Leeds
and his car was broken into on an almost daily basis, even though he left nothing in it. It got so bad that he started to leave the back seats down so they could see into the boot, the glove box open etc, and he left a note on the dash saying 'THERE IS NOTHING WORTH STEALING IN THIS CAR'.

He came back to find his car had been broken into yet again, with another note in the place where he had left. It simply said, 'Just checking'.

Who once had a totally clapped out Ford Escort. He 'Secured' it with one of those Krooklock thingies ( Those that have two hooks, one goes around the steering wheel, the other one at the other end goes around one of the pedals ) while he went shopping. While he was away someone had been and nicked the krooklock and left the car!

When I was at uni I lived in a house/hall with 17 other lads, between us there were 10 cars on the drive
MY old MkII Polo was the only one that was never broken into, in the end my housemates stuck a sign on it reading "Too crap to steal"

The police told me where the car was so i scavved a lift off a pal to go and get the car.
I opened up the drivers door and there was a note saying "Your car is shit"
