This is a question Question of the Week suggestions

Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:

* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer

What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

I could have CRIED!!!
I recently gave birth (darling little baby girl; since you ask) and was delighted to be let free on the soft cheeses once again. So imagine my disappointment when I arrived at my favourite cheese shop to find the owner handing over the keys to the new tenants! I almost burst into tears. Anyone else had their lives 'ruined' by something as petty as this?

PS: Does anyone know of a good cheese shop in the Bristol area? I know I could look it up myself but I'm so distraught.

yep,
there's one in the corn street market, go down the alleyway down the side of Trailfinders and it's on one of the corners...

Unless that's the one that's closed. I hope not, i LOVE that shop...

congrats on the babba!

cheese
That was it!! Was closed for a few weeks and now it's been taken over by some charlatan with a much smaller selection. I really liked the former owner; it wasn't just about the cheese.

oh bollocks
that's not on. Why do bad things happen to good cheese?

The only other suggestion is Fresh and Wild. Granted, you'll have to fight your way through waaay too many tofu weavers to get near the cheese counter, but they do have a nice choice. There's a deli on North Street that's pretty good, but nothing will ever beat that little cheesy enclave of perfectness.

Is that North st in Bedminster?
Friend of mine told me about that place; will have to check it out.
Don't really like f & w apart from the cafe fruit and veg too expensive, Better Food co in St Werburghs cheaper and they don't fly the food in - Sheepdrove Organic is a good place for cheese too but nothing will replace that cheese shop.

yep,
well, bedminster / southville, depending on how much money you want to add to the value of your property! Almost the whole time I lived in Bristol I lived in Southville / bedminster area, or at least close by north street. There's some good shops down there and a couple of really nice cafes. Worth a trip one day... Damn, you've got me missing Bristol now!

Rak :)
