Question of the Week suggestions
Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:
* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer
What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

Shit my Grandad did
In WWII he worked in the docks at Liverpool. He used to tell us about walking back home after the night shift scambling past all the rubble and body parts littering the streets.
In the fifties him and his dad built a TV out of a kit on the kitchen table. They managed to get its 8 inch green screen working in time for the Coronation.
In the 1970's he took himself off to night school and learnt fluent german because the company he worked for was being bought out by the krauts.
What shit did your grandads get up to, or said they did?
