Mistaken identity...Ever spot an old friend in a crowd, slap him on the back and say, "Hey you weasel-faced old cock sucker - how's it going?" only to have him turn around and be someone you don't know?
(I've got a good 'batman' story along these lines - but I don't want to waste it here.)
