Unfortunately...Unfortunately a Monkey Island Film has kind of already been made. Monkey Island was quite heavily inspired by the Theme Park ride Pirates of the Caribbean, which in turn was made into the film, Pirates of the Caribbean.
Obviously the Pirates of the Caribbean film does not even vaguely approach the Monkey Island games in humour. You sir are a cow!
