Have you ever had something happen......when you're about to do something completely fucking stupid and a 'coincidence' convinces you to change your mind.
For example, I once had a massive argument with my far, far, better half and stormed off. Halfway down our road a branch (not a twig, a motherfucking log) fell out of a tree and hit me on the head. Thankfully, I wasn't knocked out or concussed, because in that moment I realised that it had been some sort of smack on the back of the head by the big man. A ticking off telling me not to be so dumb. I turned back and made up. I had, after all, been a complete dick.
