On my very first trip to Amsterdam.........I walked out of the airport and took a taxi to the city centre. I walked onto the main plaza and saw a dead body covered with a white sheet, smeared in blood, the armed response unit crawling the area and a TV crew filmed me, tried to interview me and broadcast it on Dutch TV. Turns out, within one hour, I'd walked straight into the aftermath of a violent diamond heist.
