The deepest trouble you've ever been in abroad?I got arrested by the Bosnian Serb military in 1996 (not long after the war) on suspicion of spying. I'd entered their territory without a visa (v. stupidly) and they nabbed me on the bus on my way back out of Bosnia - it didn't help that I had a camera and notebook on me.
After a long interogation at the police station I somehow talked my way out of there with only a bollocking for not having a visa, but I totally shat myself, I can tell you.
