Question of the Week suggestions
Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:
* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer
What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

The deepest trouble you've ever been in abroad?
I got arrested by the Bosnian Serb military in 1996 (not long after the war) on suspicion of spying. I'd entered their territory without a visa (v. stupidly) and they nabbed me on the bus on my way back out of Bosnia - it didn't help that I had a camera and notebook on me.
After a long interogation at the police station I somehow talked my way out of there with only a bollocking for not having a visa, but I totally shat myself, I can tell you.
