Question of the Week suggestions
Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:
* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer
What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

The deepest trouble you've ever been in abroad?
We were pulling up to the Russian /Norwegian border in 1981 and my Norwegian co worker turned to me and said, "By the way, don't tell the border police you're American, they'll arrest you. Just show them your Norwegian work visa and pretend your Norse, ok?" I was effing petrified.
No arrest, though. We pulled it off.
Another qotw: Stupidest self delusion you've perpetrated on yourself?
I once became absolutely convinced (and I am SO not the angels/crystals/dolphins type) that I was on a bus that was going to crash, I was going to die in the crash and the very nice man sitting next to me was an angel come to ease my passage to heaven.
There! God, I admitted it! I feel so much better now.
