This is a question Racist grandparents

It Came From Planet Aylia says: "My husband's mad Auntie Joan accused the man seven doors down of stealing her milk as he was the first black neighbour she had. She doesn't even get her milk delivered." Tell us about casual racism from oldies.

Thanks to Brayn Dedd who suggested this too

Kinda
More like someone who regularly trolls qotw not to tell a story but usually to belittle others and their stories who has (along with a fellow /talk troll) come up with a really offensive suggestion and decided to portray it as "let's take the piss out of those who take it seriously or are racists".
When faced with the fact that it is actually propagating and condoning racism he's defended it with "you're all dumb, you can't see the irony, it's sooooooooo clever" whilst failing to realise that this paints him in an even worse light than before.
Personally I'm starting to wonder if this isn't a plan to get qotw shutdown (too paranoid?) as large parts of this qotw could be considered illegal in some countries under racial vilification laws. Or am I giving too much intellectual credit to him?
EDIT: haven't seen much of janet either - maybe she's in damage control?

its not the light he paints him self in
so much but the hurt his comments and posts brings regardless of his intent.

I remember walking down the street in Streatham about 8 years old holding my dads hand and someone with real hatred screaming at me that I am a nigger and my dad is a nigger lover.

Being in an Essex primary school and little fuckers calling me wog, nigger, blackie, chanting there ain't no black in the union jack so send those niggers back and thinking it was funny and that I should laugh with them. And then a few people on here do as you say and post derogatory shite as ironic or sarcastic or funny and expect others to get the joke and to see how clever they are. Ha fucking ha, try living with racism.

The question itself is fucked "casual racism from oldies" nothing was ever casual about it. BraynDedd nothing has ever been fun or entertaining about it - you have offended even if you were genuinely trying not to - worse than that you can't see it can you?

Oh and we should stop reading or switch off this bit of the internet if we don't get the joke. Why the fuck should anyone - far far better that you try and see or understand that this has never been a joke than I run away from it.

Pounana with his plainly stupid post using the term "typical wog" actually understood that it was offensive and fair play to the guy when he said so indirectly and directly, more like him please and less fuck wits would be great.

Ring of Fire nailed it with www.b3ta.com/questions/racistgrandparents/post1409919?highlight=answers-post-1410135. If you want humor lets have a QOTW that merits humor

Sorry just venting, shoot me down if you like. Fuck it I'm going to press "post"

I'm waiting (probably in vain)
for a mod to have some more bollocks/initiative than just "asking Rob about it" & do something. Otherwise I'm pretty sure 1 of those dirty, lazy, work-shy mumsnetters is going to do something drastic!

Given that rob fp'd a picture of implied baby rape,
I find it highly unlikely that anyone'll be motivated to do anything about this teacup storm.

Not one of Robs own kids in that picture I suppose?
Nah, didn't think so...

It would appear
that you've joined the wrong website.
If I remember rightly, the picture was accepted in good humour (ie. not as an endorsement of the violation of infants), but the general consensus was that it didn't really belong on the front page (the absence of context renders it shocking), so another mod took it down.

When it all comes down to it
you could just stop being a victim?
I suffered racism as a child being from the ONLY family in my childhood hometown with Italian heritage. Yeah, it stung. Kids are shitty little pricks to each other.

But.

Frankly, I've found that racism is less offensive and destructive to my psyche than some of the nasty & virulent sexism I've encountered over the years.

I just grew a pair - metaphorically - and dealt with it. I highly recommend this course of action.

I left my pair off for this QOTW
it would be pretty boring and lack lustre otherwises - a bit of righteous indignation may help set a few people straight

- but I do put them on when I am out and about as your right bit difficult to get by on this lovely wee island if your buried under a bag of chips on your shoulder

Good fucking god.
do you screech in righteous indignation every time someone expresses a preference for brown sauce over ketchup? the question is entertaining is for this very reason. The previous generation considered it fine to be casually racist and this generation is rightly offended by it. as for paranoid - i heard jimmy saville was taken down by the Feds after they discovered his plan to be the overlord of the boy scout movement. stick THAT in your tinfoil hat and smoke it.

Ohh fuck I was missing you.
Literal Hahahaahaah.
*wipes tears from eyes*
