Crackhouseceilidhband asks: Has anyone ever been nice to you, out of the blue, for no reason? Have you ever helped an old lady across the road, even if she didn't want to? Make me believe that the world is a better place than the media and experience suggest

I gave my spare Mastodon ticket to a kid who didn't have one and didn't have the £60 to buy one off the touts (the original price was £20, and they sold out quickly).
Basically, I would rather be out of pocket than have these scumbag fuckers make a big profit out of the fact that this kid wanted to see his favourite band and couldn't get a ticket. And the reason he couldn't get a ticket? The touts buy them all up in the first couple of hours so they can flog them back to you a three times the fucking price.
CUNTS.

I do this all the time, i always have a spare ticket and either give them for free or ticket price, alot of people are always a bit wary about a free ticket, but I would rather a fan have it than some pikey looking tout. I have had multiple threats from touts if they see me do this and have been escorted by several around the side of the astoria (R.I.P).
Also if I find CDs that i think are classics in bargain bins, I buy them and give them to random strangers i think might like them when I walk through London.

and foisting your choice of CD upon total strangers?
Time was, we could lock you up, and carve out part of your brain.

Missed most of Red Fang unfortunately, but what I did hear sounded pretty cool. Dillinger were awful.

Apparently I totally made some kids christmas.
I felt like adding that my dad had bought them, that we couldn't we bothered to skate and would spend the money on a slap meal and a ton of booze.
But I didn't.

The world needs more people like you.
I had a similar experience when I wanted to see Motorhead last year. The guys selling tickets outside wanted £60-70 for them when they originally retailed for £25. Nearly choked on my sarbeni when they quoted me that.

Dillinger Escape Plan, too! Excellent stuff!
And yeah, I've given spare tickets away before, too. Always worth it to save some poor soul from a scalping...
