Not Lionel, but a wonderful bloke who is also blind. Trusting each other is not a problem, as he's aware of how it is to get fucked over by a partner who takes advantage of you because you can't see shit.
When someone has to read your mail for you, for example, they can mess with you in all sorts of ways. Like, ID theft to set up accounts in your name that they then abuse (recently found out Razor boy did this) and forgery, like signing you up to loans you didn't even know about (ex husband did this.) so yeah, even trusting people for something that mostly everyone sighted takes for granted can be hard. Trusting them not to fuck you up in other ways when previously you've suffered that is often extra hard.
We do all our financial stuff and correspondance by email now. All hail the talking computer. ;)

What bottom feeders could do this?? If the forgery thing is still being dealt with, I would definately get the police involved, I doubt they would have any sympathy for the scum bags. You have inspired me to go and see an old friend that I used to hang around with as a kid. He was partially deaf and had a rare disease where he always knew at some point he would go blind,this has since happened, he is with a girl that's deaf so their relationship appears to work well, he lives just around the corner from me, so I will go and check on him and make sure he is in control of things...E-mail definately sounds like the way forward!
