Rubbish Towns
I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.
Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

My general loyalty in all matters
compels me to defend my home town but I long since disassociated myself with it. I live in (try and stifle it) a nice part of 'Wazza' called Grappenhall and I tell everyone I'm from there and *not* Warrington.
Also I'll also see your 'Warrington' and raise you 'Runcorn'... to my shame I spent nearly three years working on its outskirts.
I feel like bathing and weeping now.

Ha ha yeah
My cousins moved to Latchford a few years ago and refuse to refer to it by any other name than 'Lower Grappenhall', the shame is unbearable

To be fair, Latchford's where I frequent.
The bridge bar being my local.

Oi!
Bruche boy here: lovely place. Warrington's main advantage is that it's handy for both Manchester and Liverpool - which is handy because the nightlife is very much an acquired taste - standard northern town, all bars and clubs on one street (cf Wigan, Carlisle etc). Just a shame the last trains home are just slightly too early for a full, enjoyable night out - hence why I live in Manchester these days.
