This is a question Rubbish Towns

I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

chestnut avenue
I lived on that street for a year and was never robbed. 2 years later I was robbed in Woodhouse but that's a given.

CA is actually an awesome street to live on. The robbing though - it's not so much an urban myth - the problem was that the street is synominous with street parties therefore it's pretty easy to plan a robbing spree. It was cleared up a few years ago by Leeds Met volunteers who now assume credit for the street being less of a crime zone.

The moral of this, obviously, is that cleaning up graffitti scares off robbers.

Oh it got robbed
it just wasn't the "most robbed street in britain".

I had a friend who was shot in woodhouse for being a student. Happy days.

I'm not sure
tried to find out - was never proved or dissproved that I remember. A lot of people get shat up by the occasional murder in Leeds but I came here from Lewisham so I can walk through the park at night without shitting myself.
