I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

Melton Mowbray
I went expecting to spend the day endulging in gluttonous pie-lust. I couldn't find a decent pie shop and the pie musuem was dull, shabby and depressing.

Exactly like your average Melton Mowbray pie then?
Best ones used to be served near Kent's cavern in Torquay.

I went through Melton a few years ago
and I was badly disappointed that the sign doesn't make mention of the pies. What sort of slogan is 'capital of food'?
