Rubbish Towns
I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.
Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

Another Ealing local...
...and you're right, it is a shithole. Ealing Broadway wasn't bad, West Ealing used to be okay about 20 years ago, but now it's just full of pound shops, ditto with Hayes Town (not to mention the predilection for local historic buildings to go up in flames, and then have flats reappear on the site - someone's coining it in there!). Southall ain't even worth mentioning.

2 pubs burned down
Recently and they were both owned by the same guy. And they both were listed buildings so he coudln't knock em down and make flats. And shockingly he's now building flats there.
I don't even class southall as a town it's just a blind spot on the way to somewhere better
