you can download free classic books! Treasure Island and kidnapped as good as they ever were! :) Using my smartphone app not an actual Kindle but I guess it's the same.

Oddly, you will find those same classic books - to borrow for free - in your local library, this saving the cost of the Kindle in the first place. As libraries are having their funding cut these days the classic books might be all you can find in there but nevertheless...

you can download kindle reader software - for free - directly to your laptop (or desktop)
thus saving the cost of having to cut down our forests to make paper books.
