Money-saving tips
I'm broke, you're broke, we're all broke. Even the smug guy on the balcony with the croissant hasn't got two AmEx gold cards to rub together these days. Tell everybody your schemes to save cash.

Oh I'm a PhD student
Although that makes me much better off than an undergrad student, and actually quite a few other people at the moment, I still have to keep an eye on my finances. But I agree with username, it is technically fraud, although I'd be amazed if anyone ever went to prison for defrauding 46p out of the post office. I'd rather pay the postage and actually have them deliver my parcels before 1pm!!! Sigh.

They deliver before 1pm?
Parcels? Deliver?
You mean deliver that slip that says come and collect 'cos you weren't in, even though they didn't knock?
Because they didn't bring it?

I can't remember who said it, but...
If you're quibbling over 46p to post a letter, just try and see how far you can get your letter for 46p!

Exactly that.
I've now discovered that getting them delivered to the chemistry department saves me a trip to the sorting office, which is also only open late once a week.
That's my point, 46p is great value for money!

Ah yes;
What a happy day that was for me, once I realised I could have stuff delivered to work. The first time it happened, and I had to sign for a package; the boss looked at me as if I'd coiled one out on the floor, no doubt displeased at my temerity to actually try to maintain a work/life balance: A little grunt like me, receiving adressed post?
I've been a little tempted to start posting everyone in the branch stuff, just to see if his head explodonates.
(edit: Did anyone else notice that they never cut the second delivery, they just cut the first one and hoped we wouldn't notice? Once, you could have most your post arrive before you left for work.)
