Iconoclasm
Gangster movies: Tedious playground tales of little boys who discovered violence and never had to grow up into real men.

Lord of the Rings: Overblown, turgid dullness. The films are pretty.

P G Wodehouse: funny writing, but who can care about the lives of priviliged air-heads in the 1930s? Or golf?

Dickens: Written as the 19th century equivalent of Eastenders - and about as entertaining
