Scars with historyYou've all got scars: they're nature's little reminders not to be so damned stupid next time. My favourite is the 1/4" round hole in the back of my right hand, created when I was 7 by my best friend putting a manure-covered gardening fork "away".

childhood experimentThere was a beam across my living room ceiling that was a bit lower than the rest. I wasn't quite tall enough to touch it with my hand when I jumped, so I decided to try touching it with a pencil. A sharpened one. With the eraser end.
I still have a gray dot in the middle of my palm.
