Something similar happened at our school
when the boy's front two teeth got stuck in the hockey stick and were ripped out when the downswing was applied.

There's the whole "stick over shoulder height" rule, but when you're at school, there's generally someone taller than you!

oddly, the same thing happened at my school...
I guess it must be a fairly common thing.

Teachers should make a note: Under no circumstances give teenage lads hockey sticks, unless you enjoy waiting for ambulances to arrive....

I was on the girls hockey team in my last year of School
and while there was no stick to the face incidents, and no loss of teeth, I did once give a rather nasty headbutt to a girl from another school. She had to have a little sitdown. Teenage girls can be just as brutal.
